Port Adelaide warehouses open after $19m upgrade | InDaily
Two new state-of-the-art warehouses at the Port Adelaide Distribution Centre (PADC) were officially opened, marking a significant milestone for the site. Featured in InDaily, the expansion includes Warehouse M and Warehouse O, combining office spaces and cutting-edge logistics capabilities.
Since acquiring the site in 2019, Quintessential has invested heavily in transforming PADC. The newly completed Warehouse M replaced a facility originally built in 1947, and now spans 5,274 sqm. Additionally, Warehouse O, at 7,340 sqm, was developed on previously vacant land, further boosting the centre’s capacity.
This expansion has contributed to high tenant demand, with rents in the newly upgraded facilities more than doubling. These modern warehouse spaces now house over 200 employees across 17 tenants, further supporting the growth of the Port Adelaide region.
In his interview with InDaily, Quintessential CEO Richard Lucas emphasised how the development aligns with the growing residential population and the state’s industrial needs, particularly given the expected defence spending in the area.
The event was officiated by South Australian Deputy Premier Susan Close, who applauded the development and Quintessential's contribution to the region’s growth.
