Celebrating NAIDOC Week at Garden Square

On 8th July 2024, Garden Square proudly hosted the Dept of Education NAIDOC Week celebrations. Despite the rain, tenants at the Garden Square building in Brisbane had a wonderful time.

This year's theme celebrates the unyielding spirit of our communities and invites all to stand in solidarity, amplifying voices that have long been silenced. The event was a beautiful ceremony that highlighted the rich culture and traditions of the Indigenous community. It was a great opportunity to take time to see, learn, and appreciate the culture deeply rooted in our land. The event featured several captivating NAIDOC performances, and Jyi Lawton was the guest speaker, sharing his insights and stories.
