Today marks 106 years since the guns fell silent, bringing an end to World War I. At Quintessential, we paused to honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who fought for our freedom. Observing the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we joined millions across the world in a moment of reflection, remembering their courage, dedication, and resilience.

Our tribute this year was especially meaningful at 240 Queen Street, where our team, tenants, and community came together to commemorate this day. The lobby was adorned with symbols of remembrance, including rosemary plants, which represent loyalty and remembrance, and vibrant poppies, reminding us of the fields of Flanders. This powerful visual display was accompanied by participation from the Legacy organisation, supporting veterans and their families.

The essence of Remembrance Day extends beyond a moment of silence. It is about acknowledging the profound impact that service members and their loved ones have had on our history. Their sacrifices are a poignant reminder of the values we hold dear—unity, resilience, and the pursuit of peace.

As we reflect on this day, we stand in gratitude and remembrance. We honour not only the soldiers who served on the frontlines but also their families and communities who supported them and bore the weight of their absence. Their stories and sacrifices continue to inspire us to build a future rooted in compassion, understanding, and respect.
