    • With a focus on health and wellbeing, sustainability has been proven to have a direct impact on improving employee productivity and engagement. There is now an international building standard dedicated to workplace wellbeing – the WELL Building Standard. We are extremely proud that our WorkSafe Headquarters, 1 Malop Street Geelong Victoria achieved outstanding sustainability and wellness ratings, making it the second project globally to achieve a WELL Core & Shell Platinum Certification and first in Victoria.

      In addition, QE is proud of:

      • 5.5 Star NABERS Base Building rating.
      • High-performance facades with leading edge thermal envelope saving 5-10% annual energy use.
      • A 90kW solar array expected to provide 15% of base building energy – regional Victoria’s largest commercial installation.
      • Using a quarter less water than a conventional building.
      • Electric vehicle charging facilities and over 100 bike racks.
      • Extensive waste reuse and recycling facilities (organic/conventional), with space for equipment storage that can be donated.

    Carbon Neutral Certification for QE property funds business

    QE’s property funds management business has for its third year received Carbon Neutral certification by Climate Active.  We have invested in an offset project that provides economic/social and environmental benefits to communities as well as reducing emissions. This is a thermal energy project in Vietnam which prevents the release of methane into the atmosphere and reduces local environmental problems such as river congestion and ecological damage.


    We have a desire to be sustainable and transparent in all of our reporting, as we aim to continue our carbon neutral certification beyond 2021. We’re also using this opportunity to create awareness and change in our personal and corporate behaviour to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
